Vesta

VESTA
Red Blend

Greek mythology class was mandatory my freshman year of college. At the time it seemed an odd requirement, but it turned out to be one of my favorite classes. Roman mythology which spilled over into many of our discussions had equally significant historical and cultural importance that provided insights into how values were transmitted from generation to generation. Vesta was the Roman goddess of the hearth and home. In Roman mythology, the home was considered a sacred place where family and friends would gather while the hearth was essential for cooking and feeding the soul.

My Mother, Patti Fadelli, is my modern-day Vesta. Her presence at family gatherings, fosters unity and represents the warmth and illumination that is central to all Italian households. Vesta is the perfect “gathering” wine.

TASTING NOTES
Romanza, meaning romance in Italian, is made up of mostly Dolcetto with Barbera, Zinfandel, and a splash of Sagrantino. This delicious blend opens with a complex bouquet of black cherry cola, ripe berries, and a sweet scent of oak on the nose. The richness and depth of these flavors along with a burst of acidity keeps this medium bodied blend fresh and enjoyable.
